Who we are
The Association was born on the inspiration of the already existing OSCAR'S ANGELS volunteer organization which has been operating in France since 1998.
OSCAR'S ANGELS Italia has been active in Italy since January 2018 with two projects in particular in the pediatric hospitals "Bambino Gesù" in Rome and "San Gerardo" in Monza.
Our mission is to give moral and financial support to families with children or young people hospitalized and suffering from brain and spinal tumors, severe neurological diseases or in palliative care.
The hospitalization of a child or adolescent is a difficult and worrying time for the whole family who often feels alone and overwhelmed.
Our specialized volunteers work alongside these families in the pediatric wards of neurosurgery, oncology, neurology and ICU units of paediatric hospitals.
Their selection and training is very rigorous.
Volunteers, highly qualified and competent , available daily to families and children / adolescents to offer a friendly presence, warm, caring, empathic listening and financial support during the entire period of hospitalization
Volunteers "on call" at night and on weekends available to medical teams to come and assist families in case of emergency.
Volunteers specialized in pediatric palliative care for families of children or young people in palliative care available 24h / 24h and 7d / 7d
